What Are Timothy Bosque’s Plans for Retirement?

· teaching,Education,Sports,Football Coach,Math Teacher

Timothy Bosque recently finished a 32-year-long career as a math teacher, entering into a much-deserved retirement in 2018. Timothy began teaching in 1986, the same year he received his California Teaching Credential for mathematics. Timothy also has a degree in mechanical engineering from UC San Diego. He first taught at Tamalpais High School in Mill Valley, California as a math teacher. He taught all levels of math and developed tutoring programs. Timothy also worked closely with new students as part of the English Language Development program.

Timothy Bosque went on to work as a mathematics teacher at three other schools in California. His longest stint was at Terra Linda High School in San Rafael. Here he served as the mathematics department chair for five years, as well as on curriculum committees. He also directed tutoring programs and coached football. He worked at Terra Linda from 1990 to 2011, before moving to New York City and teaching at New Heights Academy from 2012 to 2018. He then returned to San Rafael to enjoy his retirement.

Unlike most people who retire after long, successful careers, Timothy doesn’t plan on relaxing. He’s searching for a part-time job or volunteering opportunities that will let him continue helping others. He is considering tutoring underprivileged students in math. He’s always on the lookout for volunteer projects in the community, since he ministered to the homeless in NYC for several years. Timothy Bosque hopes to continue making a difference to the world and to his community in his years of retirement.
