Timothy Bosque enjoys giving back to the community he lives in – that’s why he decided to go into teaching. He began his educational career by gaining content expertise at the University of California at San Diego, graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering in 1983. Bosque gained his teaching credential in mathematics from San Francisco State University in 1986, and jumped straight into the world of teaching.

Bosque taught at multiple schools in his over 26 years of teaching, including Tamalpais High School, San Rafael High School, Point Loma High School, and Terra Linda High School. However, Bosque was more than just a regular teacher. During his time at these schools, he made it a point to go above and beyond to enrich his students’ educational experiences and understanding of mathematics.

Bosque taught all levels of math while working in high schools, from basic skills classes for the foundations of math to advanced, college-level math courses, such as Advanced Placement Calculus and Advanced Placement Statistics. While working at San Rafael High School from 1989 to 1997, Bosque developed tutoring programs to benefit the students in his school and increase their understanding of math. He also helped work closely with English Language Development courses to help students who were newcomers to the United States to develop their math skills.

During his time as a high school math teacher, Timothy Bosque also helped college students with their math courses by serving as a tutor for 20 years. While at Terra Linda High School from 1997 to 2011, Bosque served on curriculum committees to enrich mathematics at the school and directed various tutoring programs for the benefit of his students.
