Timothy Bosque’s Educational and Professional Background

Timothy Bosque is an award-winning math teacher with a career that spans over 26 years. He has taught all types of math courses to multiple learners, as well as coached several football teams to strong seasons. Bosque went above and beyond during his teaching career to enrich his students’ educational experiences and deepen their understanding of mathematics.

Like all strong teachers, Bosque began his educational journey by gaining subject matter expertise at University. He obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of California at San Diego, studying Mechanical Engineering and learning advanced math skills, analytic thinking, and problem solving to benefit his future studies. After graduating from his undergraduate program, he attended San Francisco State University for his mathematics teaching credential. Through this program, Bosque obtained the skills necessary to plan and communicate math in an easy, effective way.

Throughout his 26 years of teaching math, Bosque has taught all types of learners and courses. He taught everything from basic math skills to advanced, college-level courses such as Advanced Placement Statistics and Advanced Placement Calculus. He also served as a college tutor to explain difficult math concepts in an easy to understand way.

Timothy Bosque taught at Tamalpais High School, San Rafael High School, Point Loma High School, and Terra Linda High School from 1985 to 2011. He served as a football coach at Tamalpais High School, San Rafael High School, and Terra Linda High School. During his time at these schools, he went above and beyond for his students by serving as department chair, participating in curriculum development, and developing tutoring programs.
